Believe for a minute that there is no life after death. Just experiment with your imagination for a moment. Truly imagine yourself believing that there is no life after death. After you die that is it of your existence. It will be & feel the same as before you were born.
At first, this thought may feel sad & dismal, to be a bubble of consciousness only to pop out of existence. To live life only for a moment & never be with it again. You can die at any moment & when you die that will be it for you. You will soon cease to exist.
In a sense, you actually cannot experience death, only the process of its coming because once you die you will not be alive to experience death. Only those who are alive experience the death of others. But you will die & when you do, will you say on your deathbed that you have lived the life you wanted?
So, now that you believe that there is no life after death, does it not inspire you to grab life to your undertaking because this is the only time you have left? To live life the best & most you can. This is your only chance, so why & what are you waiting for?
There is no more the need to live life in a set of rules to try to make it to the afterlife, for, there is no afterlife. Now, you are free from all judgment because in the end there will be nothing of you. You will cease to exist.
The sea is open, & you can live the life the way you choose, you are free. For, in the end, nothing will happen to you; nothing will literally happen to you.
The only thing eternal is life. & so, we are mortals living in immortality, causing many ripples to life. The only affect you can have after your death is the way you choose how to leave life behind. The greats from the past still affect us all. It is the only way to immortality. & so, in a way, the only afterlife can only be in this life. But you will not be there to live it, others will bloom from the cosmic elements & live the life you leave behind.
So, go & find your muse, & let your muse take you & make you. Go crazy & take life in as much as you can. I am not saying to be chaotic, but to understand it & live it to the best of your abilities because this is the only chance you have, in death you will have no other.
